- Independently assess, evaluate, and settle life and health insurance claims in line with policy conditions, internal guidelines, and local regulations.
- Make sound, well-reasoned decisions on complex or non-standard claims, balancing customer fairness and risk management.
- Actively identify opportunities to improve claims processes, customer communication, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with medical advisors, legal partners, underwriting, customer service, and other internal stakeholders.
- Use digital tools and data to support accurate, consistent, and timely decision-making.
- Contribute to pilots, automation initiatives, and innovation projects aimed at improving claims outcomes and turnaround times.
- Maintain high standards of documentation, compliance, and audit readiness.
- University degree or equivalent professional experience (insurance, law, medical, economics, or related field is an advantage).
- Experience in claims handling, insurance operations, or a similar analytical / decision-making role.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to assess information critically and independently.
- High level of adaptability, curiosity, and willingness to continuously learn new skills and approaches.
- Innovative mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo and propose better solutions.
- Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and self-management.
- Excellent communication skills in Czech (written and spoken); working knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Experience with life or health insurance claims in the Czech market.
- Exposure to digitalisation, automation, or transformation initiatives within claims or insurance operations.
- Experience working with claims systems, workflow tools, or data-driven decision support.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a changing environment and manage ambiguity.
- Proactive, impact-driven attitude with a strong customer focus.
