The ALS Environmental Testing Business Team in Bratislava is seeking ambitious and experienced applicants for the position of Business Development Manager for the Slovakian region.Key Responsibilities:Business Development & Client Relationships
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients.
- Actively acquire new customers and identify market opportunities.
- Participate in industry conferences, networking events, and company presentations.
- Negotiate terms of cooperation and service agreements.
- Co-develop sales and marketing strategies.Strategic & Financial Management
- Responsible for achieving budget and financial results (P&L).
- Plan, control costs, and prepare financial reports.
- Develop market analyses, forecasts, and management reports.
- Execute local business strategy in cooperation with the GM Environmental Eastern Europe.Operational Excellence
- Ensure high-quality customer service and compliance with relevant standards.
- Monitor performance using KPIs and implement improvements.
- Cooperate with operational teams on process optimization.Team Management
- Recruit, onboard, and develop team members.
- Foster an organizational culture based on safety, compliance, and accountability.
- Provide mentoring to sales and customer service staff.Requirements:Education & Experience
- University degree in a scientific field such as Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering; a degree in Business is a strong asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Key Account Manager / Business Development Manager position.
- Knowledge and experience in environmental testing services.Skills & Competencies
- Client-oriented approach and strong negotiation skills.
- Understanding of the environmental testing market.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Solid understanding of financial principles.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams.Other Requirements
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Valid Category B driving license.
