Make your mark for patientsWe are looking for a Medical Lead Immunology ECE (East Central Europe Cluster),who is eager to join our department, based in our office in Prague, Czech Republic.About the roleAs Medical Lead Immunology ECE (East Central Europe), you will provide strategic, scientific, and people leadership for the Immunology medical organization in the East Central Europe Cluster (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary).You will be accountable for setting and executing the medical strategy across the region, ensuring alignment with global and regional priorities, and for leading, developing, and inspiring a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Medical Solution Leads.You will act as a senior medical leader and scientific expert, shaping the value story of UCB’s immunology portfolio and ensuring high-quality scientific exchange with both internal and external stakeholders, always in line with the highest ethical and compliance standards.Who you’ll work withYou will work in close partnership with:
  • The Head of Medical, East Central Europe Cluster, to align on strategy, capabilities, and talent development
  • Regional and global Immunology and Medical Affairs teams
  • Cross‑functional stakeholders including commercial, market access, evidence generation, and ecosystem leadership teams
  • External stakeholders such as key opinion leaders, advocacy partners, and decision-makers across the region
The Immunology MSLs and Medical Solution Leads in the ECE Cluster report directly to this role.What you’ll doLead and develop the Immunology medical team
  • Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of MSLs and Medical Solution Leads
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top medical talent across the ECE Cluster
  • Drive a strong culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, accountability, and compliance
  • Define objectives, KPIs, and development plans in alignment with cluster and global priorities
Shape and execute medical strategy
  • Develop and implement regional immunology medical strategies and roadmaps aligned with global and EU direction
  • Provide medical input into local Integrated Strategy Plans (ISPs) and ecosystem plans
  • Ensure high-quality planning, execution, and performance tracking of medical activities in the field
Act as a scientific and strategic partner
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in immunology, ensuring strong therapeutic area acumen across the organization
  • Translate complex scientific and clinical data into meaningful insights and value propositions
  • Support real‑world evidence and evidence generation activities in collaboration with regional partners
Drive cross‑functional collaboration and external engagement
  • Work closely with commercial, access, and medical colleagues to deliver coordinated, compliant ecosystem strategies
  • Engage with external experts and partners through conferences, field visits, and scientific exchange
  • Promote best-practice sharing and contribute to regional and global medical capability development

  • Advanced scientific degree preferred: MD, PharmD, or PhD.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a scientific discipline required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Medical Affairs with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
  • Solid experience in Immunology or a closely related therapeutic area.
  • Proven track record in medical strategy development and execution.
  • Strong understanding of clinical development, study management, and real‑world evidence.
  • Experience working in cross‑functional, regional, or matrix environments.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Strong scientific credibility and analytical skills.
  • Inspirational leadership and people development capability.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High collaboration skills with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Digital literacy and comfort working in evolving medical ecosystems.
  • Fluency in English and Czech; additional regional languages are an advantage.
