Because of the international environment surrounding us every day, it comes as no surprise that English is our official corporate language.We are seeking an experienced and visionary Public Cloud Engineering Manager to lead our team in accelerating digital transformation into public cloud environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale public cloud architectures that drive business growth and innovation.Main Missions:As the Public Cloud Engineering Manager, you will:1. Lead a team of cloud engineers to design, implement, and manage public cloud environments, including infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.2. Collaborate with technical leaders across engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with on-premises systems and other cloud services.3. Accelerate the adoption of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD).4. Develop and maintain knowledge sharing materials, training programs, and guidelines for engineers to support autonomous deployment of public cloud technologies.Development Duties:· Develop and execute a strategic plan for public cloud adoption, ensuring alignment with business objectives.· Design, implement, and manage large-scale public cloud architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.· Lead the implementation of automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to support development/validation/integration processes.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define security audit requirements and design secure architectures.Support Duties:· Provide training and guidance to engineering teams on public cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC tools.· Offer expertise during architecture definition phases (e.g., security audits, design reviews).· Support the development of knowledge sharing materials, including documentation, guides, and training programs.Communication Duties:· Liaise with other cloud engineers across various product lines, DIS BL, and corporate groups to ensure seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.· Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including technical leaders and business owners.Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Technology related field.· 5+ years of experience in public cloud engineering (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).· Experience in system integration and deployment of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.· Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code languages, scripting code, continuous automation principles (CI/CD).· Excellent communication and leadership skills.Additional Requirements:· Fluent in English and at least one additional language of the European Union.· Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and proficiency in at least two development languages (Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Go).· Experience with network protocols (SOAP/REST, HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, WAF, RTCP).· AWS SAA or AWS SAP certification considered positively.What We Offer:· Competitive salary and benefits package.· Opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and innovative environment.· Collaborative team culture that values knowledge sharing and open communication.At Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
