Run what runs the world.This Position reports to: SEC Team LeaderYour role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design.The work model for the role is: hybrid / flexibleThis role is contributing to the work in Functional Safety related areas under ABB PAEN business area, generally in Oil & Gas with Chemicals & Pharma industries (but not limited to) being mainly assigned to highly interesting and technologically advanced Projects within European locations and beyond. Your main stakeholders are Team Leader with Team Coordinator on the Line Management basis and Project Manager with Project Lead Engineer on the Project basis.You will be mainly accountable for:Performing survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables.Assisting customers on technical issues and interacting with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables.Supporting in communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.Participating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.We’re a young and ambitious Functional Safety team, passionate about growing with the latest tech while making systems safer and smarter — all guided by top industry standards.Qualifications for the role

Electrical education

(secondary grade is minimum) * Advanced knowledge of English(any other international language is considered as advantage) * IEC61508, IEC61511, Machinery Safety knowledge(is considered as advantage) * Experience in automation appreciated
