The Platform Security team is looking for an Engineer to develop Security Compliance solution based on open standards and leading industry technologies. This is an ideal position for an engineer with a passion for open source, interested in security and infrastructure monitoring. In this role, you will be a key member of the Security Compliance team and your contributions will have high visibility within the company and externally within security automation community.What you will doParticipate in the development cycle by scoping and executing assigned tasks, from source code development to testing and verification.Manage personal workload to ensure on-time delivery of tasks and minor functional enhancements.Define product configuration policies for Security industry regulations (for instance: , ).Implement the full automated security policies for system scanning(sample ) and remediation purposes.Contribute to testing and development efforts.Support RHEL product certifications (example: ).Productize our in Red Hat productsParticipate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on architectural proposals.Collaborate openly with engineers across functions to resolve issues that cross component boundaries.What you will bringLanguage experience: strong Python, BashFamiliarity with CI systems and source code control tools (Git, GitHub, GitLab)Hands-on experience as a Linux / Unix administrator or power user/ strong understanding of Linux ecosystem securityExperience with structured execution of projectsAbility and desire to learn new technologiesCyber Security engineer work experience is a plusOpen Minded to learn languages (C/C++, GoLang) is a plusWillingness to explore and implement Agentic-AI approachAbout Red Hatis the world’s leading provider of enterprise software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
