DWDM Transport Architect (f/m)

• You are responsible for development of architecture concepts, design of holistic target pictures (strategic planning for network extensions, feature set, product line, software release and supporting systems development).
• You identify innovations in DWDM technology fields and being actively involved with implementation within the Group and in the industry.
• You are proposing and defining policies and other documents for the NWI Int'l Transport area and agreeing these with internal departments.
• You are steering the architecture and design activities, including those of major strategic and international projects and programs.
• Your responsibility covers optimization and harmonization of architecture and transport solution design, and optimization of existing organizational architecture.
• You advise NWI and Sales management on technological, architectural topics and issues of system development and integration.
• You are actively practicing knowledge management and transfer of knowledge withing NWI teams.

• Detailed knowledge and min 5 years' experience of Transport network, Optical networks, DWDM technology
• Know-how of SDN, NFV, Virtualization in general, Cloud-Technology.
• Knowledge of automation and network orchestration, extensive experience driving digitalization initiatives within the field of optical networks
• Good understanding of IP networks (Routing und Switching) in L2/L3 architectures, protocols, and know dependencies and technologies of telecommunication-like voice, signaling, data streams
• Ability to develop and communicate long-term technology strategies that align business objectives with emerging network technologies.
• Your senior expertise is enabling you to take full responsibility for the implementation of architectural concepts in platform, product and services development
• You can provide technical advice, consultancy, recommendations and drive the decision process in the relevant functional area for technical and managerial audience
• Experience with complex project management
