- Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through upselling and effective communication both written (Resumes, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments.
- Responsible for accuracy of data on sales and catering platform/CRM, leveraging the tool for building reports and insights.
- Negotiate with clients through the use of creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals, to achieve both maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, event planners and stakeholders.
- Act as the liaison between the client and the hotel for all of the clients’ needs. (Hotel rooms, catering and events, AV, transportation, off-site event recommendations, cooperation with the local DMCs).
- Plan and/or attend meetings with hotel team and clients, including but not exclusive to: Morning Operations Briefing, Group Pipeline, Group Resume Meeting, Sales Meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings.
- Participation on preparation of annual Catering budget – working closely with revenue team on data analyses.
- Work with Commercial Director and Sales Director to develop and drive event pricing strategies.
- Actively solicit and secure new business - corporate and social events.
- Optimize space utilization and manage function space allocation to maximize revenue.
- Work with Director Of F&B and Executive Chef to monitor and manage banquet and food and beverage revenues and cost.
- Keep up to date with competitor activities and provide insights on the market trends.
- Train, develop and supervise the performance of direct team members, serving as a mentor.
- Conduct performance evaluations to direct team members, review and monitor attendance and activities to assure the standards are met.
- Minimum 4 years of previous catering sales or event management experience.
- Excellent organizational, communication, selling skills and time management.
- Analytical skills with solid Excel knowledge.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and public holidays if requested by the group/event management.
- Fluent in English and Czech/Slovak (both spoken and written), additional languages are a plus.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Delphi FDC program and Opera PMS are a strong advantage.
