Our department delivers build (projects) and run (support) microservices for the main DHL website, . To enhance the functionality of the existing platform, we have formed a team that delivers microservices based on business needs. This team consists of 6 members located in Europe and India.As a Microservices BE developer, you will play a key role in implementation, delivery, and improvement of our microservices. Our microservices are developed in Spring boot and hosted in Kubernetes cluster. We use GitHub as our version control system and Jira / Confluence to record our work items and store documentation. Your expertise in BE application development will be instrumental in driving our team forward and improving the setup of our microservices. Our projects are predominantly customer‑facing, so knowledge of front‑end development (especially JavaScript and React) is considered a valuable plus, though not a requirement.Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages & frameworks – Java, Spring / Spring boot
  • Developer’s tools – Git, Maven, Docker (or alternatives), Relational DB (MySQL or alternatives)
  • Ability to work in a team environment and coming up with ideas for improvements
  • Can do approach and dedication to delivering results & issue solutions
  • Nice to have:
  • Kubernetes

  • Any knowledge level of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React
