Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University announces a selection procedure for the position a Department Head for:Department of Simulation MedicineThe Department of Simulation is an educational institution of the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University, based at the Simulation Center of the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, which is the largest and most advanced simulation center for teaching-primarily clinical medicine-in Europe. The institute guarantees and provides expert oversight for the implementation and delivery of simulation-based education, primarily at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University. It delivers both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in courses incorporating elements of simulation medicine. The institute initiates and conducts scientific research in the field of simulation medicine at both national and international levels. It also organizes and provides specialized and lifelong learning courses. Furthermore, the institute guarantees the doctoral study program Simulation in Medicine / Healthcare Simulation.The candidate for the position of Head of the Department must be a respected expert in the field of simulation medicine at both national and international levels, with experience in team management and in teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.The Department head will be responsible for managing the Department, undergraduate medical education, doctoral studies, publishing and coordination of research conducted at the Department. The Candidate for Department Head will present his/her idea of fulfilling the above during the selection process.Requirements for a declared position:
  • University education in a field relevant to public health, or equivalent education obtained abroad;
  • Academic degree PhD or scientific rank of CSC;
  • Habilitation within the meaning of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education, the scientific-pedagogical title of professor is an advantage;
  • Personal and professional qualifications for leading an academic team;
  • Experience in teaching and readiness to guarantee professional courses and the doctoral study program delivered at the department;
  • Experience in a leadership position;
  • Significant publication record and active research activity;
  • Excellent command of Czech;
  • Integrity and good moral character;Fulfilment of prerequisites according to Act No. 451/1991 Coll. (the Lustration Act); does not have to document persons born after 1 December 1971 and applicants from abroad.
