Your missionWattstor is seeking a dynamic and experienced Cybersecurity and IT Support Officer to join our rapidly expanding renewable energy business across Europe. In this critical role, you will oversee the delivery of cutting-edge cybersecurity strategies and IT support services, playing a vital part in safeguarding our digital infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations.As a key team member, you will not only manage technical support but also integrate robust cybersecurity measures, proactively defending against evolving threats. By championing a security-first culture, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain the highest security standards, helping drive Wattstor's mission to accelerate the decarbonization of the global energy sector.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the clean energy transition while securing and enhancing the technological backbone of a fast-growing business.Key Responsibilities Cybersecurity LeadershipStrategic Security Implementation: Design and integrate robust cybersecurity strategies, ensuring the integrity of our network infrastructure through firewalls, antivirus systems, and intrusion detection measures.Cloud & Device Security: Enforce security baselines across cloud services and mobile devices, implementing advanced controls to protect critical assets.Vulnerability & Threat MitigationProactive Threat Detection: Identify and assess system vulnerabilities, conducting thorough security checks to stay ahead of potential risks.Cybersecurity Incident Management: Lead rapid response to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and escalate issues when necessary to minimize future risk.Continuous Threat Monitoring: Stay on top of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, ensuring our defense mechanisms evolve with the landscape.Incident Response & Risk ManagementSecurity Incident Triage: Manage the initial containment of security breaches, providing a swift response to limit impact.Risk & Compliance Analysis: Collaborate with teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement control measures to strengthen the organization’s security posture.Internal & External Audits: Participate in audits and provide guidance on best practices for securing data and safeguarding systems. IT Support ExcellenceEnd User Support: Provide exceptional 1st and 2nd line IT support across various platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux).Cloud Systems Administration: Manage and support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments, from user administration to security settings.Onboarding & Asset Management: Facilitate seamless user onboarding, offboarding, and ensure efficient asset tracking with MDM solutions like Intune. Vendor CollaborationSeamless Vendor Partnerships: Work with local IT vendors to procure, repair, and maintain hardware, ensuring all systems are running smoothly.External Collaboration: Coordinate with external support for specialized IT and security needs, ensuring consistent service for both local and remote teams.Your profileKey Skills & CompetenciesEndpoint Security Expertise: Experience managing MDM platforms (Intune, Jamf) to secure devices.Cybersecurity Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with SIEM tools, EDR platforms, and IAM systems to monitor, detect, and prevent threats.Scripting Skills: A plus if you have PowerShell or Bash scripting experience for automating tasks.Cloud Platform Mastery: Proficient in managing and securing environments within Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Google Admin Console.Problem-Solving Excellence: Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and communication skills to support users and resolve issues efficiently.Essential QualificationsMDM & Device Management: Expertise in managing laptop and mobile device enrollments and policy enforcement.Asset Management Systems: Experience using tools like Jira, ServiceNow, or Netsuite for asset lifecycle management.Experience: Proven track record in IT support with a strong focus on cybersecurity.Cybersecurity Knowledge: Strong grasp of network protocols, operating systems, and common security vulnerabilities.Collaborative Spirit: Able to work independently and as part of a distributed team across Europe.Preferred QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).Experience: 5+ years in IT support roles with a focus on cybersecurity.Certifications: Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, Microsoft SC-900, or Google Certified Professional are highly valued.Why us?
