Are you a finance professional with a passion for the automotive industry and a knack for driving financial performance? Mercedes-Benz Czech Republic is looking for a dedicated and analytical Controller to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to significantly impact our business by ensuring robust financial steering across our Wholesale and Financial Services operations.About the Role:As a Controller, you will be instrumental in supporting the financial steering of Mercedes-Benz Cars in the Czech Republic. Your primary focus will be on integrated controlling across our Wholesale and Financial Services (MBFS) divisions, ensuring transparency on profitability and empowering commercial decision-making. You will act as a crucial interface between Sales, Financial Services, and Finance, while also contributing to CEE-wide Financial Services monitoring, reporting, and strategic decision support. Beyond your daily responsibilities, you'll engage in exciting ad-hoc analyses and projects, shaping the future of our financial landscape.Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Steering & Performance Analysis: Analyze market financial performance (revenue, contribution margin, EBIT), monitor key KPIs (price realization, discount levels, volume), conduct variance analysis, and support monthly closing, forecasting, and planning processes.
  • Wholesale & Financial Services Coordination: Drive integrated steering of vehicle sales and financial products, evaluate and structure financing offers, leasing campaigns, and fleet deals, assessing profitability and ensuring end-to-end transparency.
  • CEE Financial Services Monitoring & Decision Support: Prepare and develop regular CEE MBFS performance reports, analyze trends, identify risks and opportunities, and provide insights and recommendations for cluster-level performance steering.
  • Business Partnering & Commercial Support: Provide essential financial analyses and decision support to Sales and Financial Services teams, prepare business cases for commercial initiatives, and evaluate their financial impact.
  • Reporting & Planning: Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management, maintain and enhance reporting tools (Excel, Power BI), and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and mid-term planning cycles.
  • Governance & Process Support: Ensure compliance with internal controlling standards, support audit requests, and actively contribute to process improvements and the implementation of new tools and systems.
What We're Looking For:
  • A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a similar field.
  • First relevant experience in Controlling or Finance; experience in the automotive or financial services sector is a significant advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial KPIs.
  • A keen interest in commercial topics, including pricing, sales, and financial products.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential; proficiency in Power BI is a plus.
  • An understanding of financial services KPIs (e.g., penetration, RORAC, residual value effects) is beneficial.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Czech is a strong advantage.
  • A structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style with a proactive mindset and a willingness to take ownership.
  • A strong interest in developing advanced data analytics and AI-driven insights.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
