Contract type: Permanent, full timeYour Role & Team in a NutshellYou will be working as part of a close knit team, providing accounting and financial advisory support to Newell's European GBS Centre in Prague. You will support General Ledger Accounting activities, facilitate accurate monthly closing and reporting and contribute to key projects that enhance efficiency. We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.Your Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals, fixed asset additions and depreciation, bank fees, etc.
- Handle and record GL payments, bank charges, payroll, misc taxes.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and balance sheet analysis.
- Participate in monthly quarterly and yearly closing processes.
- Partner with different departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Support in coordination and progress monitoring around internal and external audit requests.
- Make recommendations for process improvements.
- Background in Finance/Accounting with a relevant degree or equivalent qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in finance or accounting role
- SAP Finance module, MS office
- Fluent in English language
- Growth mindset, openness to change

- Knowledge of any European language is a plus
- Experience / knowledge of Blackline and Hyperion (HFM)
- Proactive approach, excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize work
