Job Description:Position Summary: The Senior Director, EMEA Accounting and Reporting, is a key member of the Company’s leadership team and responsible for the Company’s European accounting and compliance function, including managing a large team (~80 professional staff). The Senior Director will be stepping into a dynamic period of growth and transformation at Envista. The role will lead the day-to-day financial accounting and compliance efforts for our centralized accounting team located in Prague. By stepping into this role, you will take part in driving the culture of continuous improvement and execution.This role will oversee the preparation of the Company’s Europe-based financial statements, including managing operational accounting and SOX compliance. They will also play an important role in leading the external audit effort for the Company’s European operations.The position is based in Prague and reports to the Global Controller.Job Responsibilities:Oversee general ledger accounting functions, account reconciliations, income statement and balance sheet management.Lead month-end close deliverables and timelineManage financial reporting; ensure all reporting is accurate and timely.Serve as liaison with corporate department and ensure corporate deliverables are completed.Direct the company’s European accounting and internal controls (SOX) activities.Manage the year-end external audit for European operating companies (as necessary)Ensuring successful execution of US GAAP internal and external audits including the implementation of audit recommendationsOversee statutory accounting and related audits.Leverage culture of continuous improvement in a methodical, pragmatic and expeditious manner including automation of manual processes and controls and standardization of accounting/business processesEnsuring policies and procedures are in place and being followed including all SOX requirements.Manage responsibilities of accounting staff; performance reviews and professional development/coachingMotivate, mentor, develop, and manage accounting team members.Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team.Manage acquisition activity from due diligence to valuation/purchase accounting through to integration.Assist with ad-hoc requests or special projects as necessary or assigned.Travel within the region as necessary#LI-MK1Job Requirements:Experience / EducationBachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA license equivalent preferred (with Big 4 experience preferred)15-20 years of progressive related experience, including managing a large multinational accounting team within a centralized locationRelevant experience with U.S multinational manufacturing companyExcellent knowledge of US GAAP, statutory accounting, technical accounting, accounting policies, and internal controlsExcellent oral and written communication skills in English (any other major European languages are a plus)Demonstrable experience in process changes and systems improvementsStrong influencing skills; capable of engaging effectively with operational stakeholdersSkills/KnowledgeComprehensive knowledge and experience with U.S. GAAPExperience with large, complex global ERP systems (SAP and Oracle)HFM experience is a plusIntermediate/Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel in financial and data analysisDemonstrable experience of implementing accounting/finance process changes and systemsOther Key CompetenciesStrong interpersonal skills and being capable of engaging effectively with operational stakeholdersExcellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracyOperate with a high sense of urgency.Demonstrate sound work ethic, respect and cultural sensitivity and awareness.Effective time management, organizational and prioritization skillsResults-oriented with focus on achieving overall business objectivesAbility to effectively manage through change and embrace challengesAbility to think strategicallyFlexibility and ability to meet deadlinesEffective teamwork and collaboration skillsOperating Company: CorporateEnvista and its family of companies (Envista) will not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than directly from a candidate.
