The Red Hat RHEL System Roles team is looking for an intern with an interest in or basic exposure to Ansible and Python, and a desire to learn about open source software development and automation to join us in Brno. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Engineering team to learn automation techniques, resolve bugs and defects, and help develop and test new features. You will also get a chance to actively participate in the upstream "Linux System Roles" open source community, making contributions that have real-world impact. Interns work on average 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours, and the expected start date is July 1st.What you will do:Participate in the quality assurance and testing of RHEL system roles across multiple RHEL versions in various environmentsContribute to identifying, reproducing, and addressing existing defects and bugs within RHEL System RolesWork on expanding, automating, and streamlining the build and release pipeline for RHEL System Roles, leveraging modern technologies like containerization and/or LLM.What you will bring:You must be enrolled in a Czech university (Bachelor’s 3rd/4th year or Master’s) for the full internship duration and be able to work full-time within 2 years.Working knowledge of written and spoken EnglishExperience in development in Python and Bash scriptingBasic understanding of Linux operating systemInterest in learning new technologies; problem-solving skills.The following are considered a plus:Basic knowledge of AnsibleInterest or experience in Quality Engineering practicesBasic knowledge of git and githubDue to the limited number of internship opportunities and the high volume of applications, we may not be able to speak with every candidate.
