How much will a barrel of oil cost in 5 minutes? At what interest are banks willing to lend in 2027? This work involves finding patterns and signals across products and markets, using data to validate ideas, regular brainstorming with colleagues, finding appropriate functional forms, regularly calibrating parameters, and creating and maintaining model code in Python.At Qminers, we develop an algorithmic trading system that trades completely autonomously on 4 continents, 24/7. What we expect from you:
  • A Master's degree student or graduate in mathematics (or an equivalent technical field) with outstanding results.
  • Programming experience, ideally Python.
  • Excellent logical reasoning that you can consistently explain to others.
  • Ability to understand complex mathematical constructs and solve difficult problems.
  • Ability to learn quickly and get involved in development.
  • A results-oriented, proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Knowledge of mathematical modelling and statistical methods.
