We are looking for a Standard or Senior R&D Engineer to connect ABB Research with our Mining Business Lines. You will transfer knowledge, build technical communities, and Implement research findings into real-world aplications.The work model for the role is: hybrid.This role support Process automation in Ostrava and contributes to ABB research Development:

Shape the future of mining power systems – Bring state-of-the-art electrical network solutions to life.
Engage with a global network – Collaborate with experts across multiple disciplines, driving impactful change.

You will be mainly accountable for:R&D responsibilities

Act as bridge between ABB BL units and EUOPC
Participate in Tech Talks and help with build the R&D community
Manage and track development activities
Collaborate on ENS studies.

Technical Power system

Develop and Optimize Power System Simulation,
Build and maintain specialized power system models (SW" Power Factory/DIgSILENT, ETAP, Matlab... ).
Ensure compliance with SIGird code - based on country

regulation.Qualifications for the role

Education: Electrical Engineering (Power Engineering,).
Skills: Analytical mindset, innovation-driven, result-oriented.
Language: English (B2 or Higher)
Personal Qualities: Independent, Proactive, and well -organized

Prefer Experiences:

Power electronics - power systems modeling & simulation.
ENS software tools and electrical protection systems.
