Job Description & SummaryAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Risk Manager to join our Energy Trading Risk Advisory team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong quantitative background and deep expertise in energy trading, risk management and/or model development. As part of a Big 4 advisory practice, you will work across our international network, advising leading energy companies, utilities, and trading houses on risk strategy, quantitative modelling, regulatory compliance, and ETRM implementation.Job description & summaryLead and deliver advisory projects focused on market, credit, and operational risk in energy trading environments.Develop and validate quantitative models for pricing, predictive analytics, trading, risk measurement, and portfolio optimisation across commodities (power, gas, oil, renewables).Advise clients on risk frameworks, governance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., REMIT, EMIR, MiFID II).Collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies to deliver integrated solutions.Develop and maintain various tools for pricing derivative products in energy or commodity markets.Support digital transformation initiatives, including trading and/or risk analytics platforms and automation.Mentor junior team members and contribute to thought leadership in energy risk management.Explore and co-decide about new opportunities and future pathways in the market.Requirements of the roleMaster’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance).4–8 years of s of experience in energy trading/model development or energy risk management, preferably within a trading hub, energy supplier, utility, or consultancy.Strong understanding of energy markets and trading instruments (futures, options, swaps).Proficiency in quantitative tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, Power BI).Experience with risk systems (e.g., Endur, Allegro, FIS Aligne, SAS and data analytics.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.Familiarity with ESG-related risk factors and sustainability-linked trading strategies.Our Benefits and FunOpportunity to work on high-impact projects with global energy clients.Stable, but challenging working environment providing plenty of opportunities for your continuous professional growth.Fair salary plus annual bonus corresponding to your performancePaid time off 30 days, 3 Wellbeing days and 2 extra days off from the company at the end of the year.High-end Ultrabook and iPhone with unlimited data.Benefit program with 55.000 points that you can use for holidays, education, food vouchers, sports, health...
