- Are you passionate about making AI work in practice — not just in theory? Vodafone Czech Republic is scaling an AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) and we're looking for an AI Specialist to join our team through the Vodafone Discover programme.
- The AI CoE is a growiwng, high-impact team responsible for accelerating AI adoption across the entire organisation. We do this through:
- Rapid Prototyping: Building working AI prototypes to validate use cases and demonstrate what's possible to the business
- Production Advisory: Helping development teams build AI-powered solutions the right way — from architecture through deployment
- AI Tooling & Enablement: Managing and improving the AI tools our developers and colleagues use every day as well as building our own stack
- Adoption & Measurement: Running structured programmes to help people actually use AI effectively, and measuring whether it's working
- Governance: Making sure we adopt AI responsibly, in line with EU AI Act requirements and internal policies
- Help build and iterate on AI prototypes — connecting LLMs to real business data, building demos, testing what works
- Support the intake and prioritisation of AI use cases coming from across the organisation
- Contribute to measurement — building dashboards, analysing adoption data, helping us prove (or disprove) that our AI initiatives deliver value
- Prepare materials for stakeholder presentations, governance reviews, and demo sessions
- Help coordinate AI adoption programmes — organising workshops, curating learning resources, gathering user feedback
- Maintain our use case register, knowledge base, and documentation
- Research new tools, approaches, and what other companies are doing with AI
- Participate in cross-functional work with Legal, Risk, Security, IT, and business teams
- Genuine interest in applied AI — not just the theory, but making it useful in a real organisation. You follow what's happening in the field because you're curious, not because someone told you to.
- Ability to get things done — whether that's writing a Python script, building a dashboard, running a workshop, or putting together a clear presentation. We value people who can move between tasks and figure things out.
- Some hands-on technical experience — you don't need to be a software engineer, but you should be comfortable enough with code (Python, APIs, data manipulation) that you're not afraid to open a terminal. Bonus if you've actually built something with LLMs or AI tools.
- Communication skills — you'll work with developers, business stakeholders, legal teams, and executives. Being able to explain technical concepts clearly and listen well matters as much as technical depth.
- Product thinking — understanding how to go from a vague business problem to a concrete solution. Experience with product management, business analysis, or structured problem-solving is a plus.
- Structured and self-directed — in a small team, nobody will micromanage you. You need to be able to organise your own work, ask the right questions, and flag when something isn't working.
- Nice to have (but not required):
- Experience or academic projects involving LLMs, NLP, or data analysis
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of AI governance, ethics, or the EU AI Act
- Experience in a corporate or consulting environment
- Czech/Slovak and English language skills (our work has both local and Vodafone group aspects)
- We currently work in a roughly 3 days from home, 2 days in the office mode,
- Here, we address each other informally and aren’t really bothered about a dress code… It suits us all just fine, and we hope you’ll feel good among us too.
