  • Routine knowledge of built-in data structures (collections), time complexities
  • Experience with commonly used design patterns and programming principles
  • Experience with code refactoring
  • Strong experience with functional programming concepts in Java and the Stream API
  • Overview of JVM features and the Java build lifecycle
Spring Boot
  • Spring Boot 3 - understanding of key mechanics, overview of capabilities
  • Dependency Injection and IoC principles
  • JPA/Hibernate - good understanding of key mechanics
  • REST, SOAP WS - overview of capabilities, working experience
  • Implementation within the Spring ecosystem
  • Declarative vs imperative realization
  • Available clients
  • Strong experience with application debugging
  • Kafka - experience with application integration using Kafka
  • Understanding of basic Kafka principles
