The General Manager reports directly to the CEO and will be an active member of the senior management team. The main focus of the role will be operations and sales.
Main Responsibilities:
Operations:
· Responsible for delivering operational performance, ensuring professionalism, safety, and efficiency consistent with local and national legislation, group standards, and our client's governance guidelines.
· Managing operational contracts with a focus on process improvement, resource planning, and efficiency actions.
· Provide prompt and effective reaction to internal and external audits, highlighting any deviations from group standards ensuring the relevant Managers/Coordinators expediently identify and implement the required corrective action.
· Collaborating with HR to develop a high-performing team through recruitment, training, development, and succession planning.
· Working with the Group Quality Director to enhance QTRAK development, training, and rollout programs.
Sales:
· Develop strong relationships with senior members of existing clients and prospective decision-making influencers, in conjunction with Sales & Marketing team to gather relevant client and market business intelligence.
· Provide a strong focus on the growth of business in existing key accounts, by developing new value add propositions within those accounts and drive for potential supply chain and adjacent business opportunities
· Work with Sales and Marketing to identify new market sectors, industries and services to diversify the business and improve gross margins.
· Develop a cross selling culture where everybody understands the market and client needs and propose enhancements, strategies and contacts to improve business propositions and broaden client base.
Quality:
· Experience working with standard documentation such as PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and PSW (Part Submission Warrant).
· Ability to Handle Quality Escalations: knowledge and/or experience with quality escalation processes, including situations such as CSL 2 (Customer Service Level 2).RequirementsRequirements:
· Experience and understanding of the Automotive, Aerospace, and Engineering industries.
· Ability to interact, lead, manage, motivate and communicate on all business levels.
· Attention to detail, ability to remain calm under stress, and lead by example.
· Strong team player with energy, drive, commitment, and tenacity.
· Previous experience and strong track record in Sales.
