OverviewIDC is looking for a Associate Consultant (Data Engineering). Reporting to the Vice President of Worldwide Custom Analytics, you will play a key role in managing and analyzing data for high-impact consulting projects. Your work will involve using Python to process data, reviewing model outputs, and developing forecasting and segmentation models. You will also help maintain IDC's data infrastructure, including custom applications and Python-based tools.Responsibilities

Translate project specifications into actionable technical requirements
Analyze and interpret large datasets using Python (especially Pandas) and Excel
Run and adapt pre-built Python scripts to deliver client-ready datasets
Conduct quality assurance checks on data and tools
Support ad-hoc data modeling and analysis as needed

Qualifications

Proficiency in Python, with strong experience using the Pandas library
Advanced Excel skills
Familiarity with PyCharm
Degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics)
Solid understanding of statistics and data modeling
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience in project management and process optimization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting prioritie
