Provide automakers with cutting-edge equipment and solutions to develop tomorrow's clean and connected car.The Paint Decoration Process Engineer leads the development, optimization, and stabilization of coating (hard coating, anti-fog coating for lighting products) and metallization processes to ensure high-quality decorated products that meet OEM expectations. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages technical interactions with suppliers, and ensures the robustness of decoration tooling, consumables, and process parameters.The role of Paint Decoration Process Engineer is based in our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Nový Jičín, Czech Republic.Responsibilities:
  • Lead decoration process development activities to achieve required quality levels and cost targets as defined in AVP.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (plant, laboratory, suppliers, customer) to ensure stable and compliant decoration processes.
  • Analyze RFQ packages, perform design reviews, and prepare technical design reports (TDRs).
  • Define the industrial process flow and quality zoning for new projects; support initial samples and feasibility studies.
  • Oversee tooling and consumables conformity (coatings, fixtures, jigs) from design to final validation.Drive productivity, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives at plant and division levels.
  • Ensure safety compliance and contribute to improving safety standards during plant operations.
Participate in frequent business trips (up to 40% of working time) to OPmobility plants in Morocco, Czech Republic, Mexico, and Turkey.Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree with relevant experience OR Master/Engineering degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in paint, vacuum metallization, or other coating processes; experience in project organizations is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving capabilities and proficiency with PDCA methodology.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills; independent and proactive work style.
  • Ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on technical topics.
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.
