If you combine this real-time data with our 40-year-old archives, elite journalists, camera operators, copywriters, the latest in AI wizardry, and a host of 'behind the scenes' support staff, you've got all the ingredients to make it a magical experience!This is more than just an Engineering Manager role - it's a chance to lead leaders and shape the future of our sports analytics storytelling products. You'll manage a team of Engineering Managers and Tech Leads across Poland, Czech Republic and Austria, ensuring our frontend platforms and tools remain world-class. You'll also drive engineering culture (including DevEx initiatives) and ensure technical decisions align with business priorities.Job description:

Lead and mentor a team of Engineering Managers and Technical Leaders working across multiple frontend products.
Drive technical vision-help teams transition towards a more scalable, maintainable architecture.
Balance innovation and delivery - AI is crucial to our company, but consistent, high-quality product delivery is key to revenue growth.
Scale and structure teams, improving leadership, collaboration and long-term strategy.
Enhance DevEx and release processes, empowering teams to work efficiently and effectively.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design and other engineering groups to drive impact.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, leading teams and scaling organizations.
Strong background in frontend development (React preferred), DevOps and release management.
Acting as a mentor and coach, being able to grow leaders, not just engineers.
A strategic thinker, being able to understand some trade-offs exists, know when to push forward and when to be patient.
Results-driven with focus on customer impact, delivery and business value.

Nice-to-have:

Experience managing distributed teams across multiple countries.
Background in high-traffic, customer-facing platforms.
Familiarity with AI and data-driven applications (even if it's not the core focus).
