- Lead a team of backend and platform engineers to deliver scalable, developer-focused infrastructure.
- Build and evolve our internal developer platform, enabling 15+ engineering teams to ship high-quality code faster.
- Balance two “customer” groups: internal contributors integrating with platform services, and external teams interacting with APIs and hosted features.
- Own critical components including Kubernetes-based infrastructure, Java/Spring Boot microservices, and observability tooling.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, product, and data teams to align platform capabilities with business needs and technical goals.
- Help define platform strategy with a focus on scalability, monitoring, and developer experience.
- Contribute to future-facing initiatives, including integration with AI platform services (e.g., Vertex, Bedrock, ChatGPT) and vector-based metadata systems.
- Develop and grow your team, participate in hiring, and champion best practices in engineering and collaboration.
- 5+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years of engineering leadership or team management experience.
- Strong technical foundation in Kubernetes, backend development (Java/Spring), RESTful APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience building internal platforms, tooling, or services used by multiple engineering teams.
- Familiarity with application architecture, distributed systems, and platform reliability best practices.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguous technical/product challenges and balancing long-term platform evolution with near-term delivery.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) and the ability to build trust across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
