- Evaluates and tests new PLM tools/products - Owns and coordinates in functional/process/end-to-end testing and is major contributor to evaluation of any new PLM tools/products considered for implementation. Collaborates with solution providers to ensure they understand business objectives, use cases, current processes/gaps, and works towards to closing gaps. Provides systems/solutions/process improvement recommendations to business owners and senior leadership.
- Solutions/systems product collaboration with business process owners, IT solutions architect and code development team to develop solutions - Serves as the business and solutions link between the development team and business owners to collaborate together to discover the most effective solutions for development. Understands requirements from the business and translates them to the solutions architect and development team where development is done, in order for the solutions meets the business requirements effectively. Reviews technical solutions and challenges the development team to produce the most efficient solution for the business.
- Sets solutions and functional standards to ensure a consistent end-to-end solution exists across the entire PLM ecosystem - consistent UX, process, and functionality; data and solution flows well throughout the PLM ecosystem from one role/subprocess to the next one; validates of end to end process with testing. Ensure new enhancements to the production system do not violate these standards and are duplicating solutions across other domains. Identify opportunities of best practices and solutions, and leverage them to use across areas in the ecosystem. Collaborates with process/policy owners (i.e. ASPICE, ASME) to ensure solutions ensure these are enforced.
PLM ecosystem 5-yr process/tools strategy - major contributor to the PLM strategy and roadmap. Ensures any solutions being built follows our long term strategy, and is not against our objectives.Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Agile/scrum software development certified
- Six Sigma Lean Expert
- 7+ years of experience of developing PLM solutions as a business analyst, product owner, business architect, or solutions architect
- 7+ years of solutions experience in a major PLM platform (i.e. ENOVIA, Windchill, TeamCenter)
- 5+ years of enterprise PLM software new or major upgrades implementation experience
- 5+ years of PLM experience in Part, BOM, and Change Management processes/functions
- 3+ years of agile/scrum experience
- PLM hands-on development experience preferred to review technical solutions
- LWC - Salesforce Lightning Web Components and/or Salesforce products experience preferred
- Mechanical, electrical, and software product/processes PLM development experience preferred
- Expert level of knowledge/experience in PLM industry product/tools software
- Ability to design software solutions to meet business requirements while staying within the capabilities of the software platform/tool
- Quickly can lean how a software tool can work through demonstrations and evaluate it to competing tools to select the best solution based on criteria.
- Troubleshoots escalated issues with the PLM team to review and approve short term fixes, root cause analysis review, and long-term resolutions.
- Collaborates well with individuals and teams from different regions and cultures, and that are external vendors, internal cross-functional team members, end users, and stakeholders on achieving the most optimal solution.
