This is a unique opportunity to shape processes, drive standardization, lead improvement initiatives, and elevate the employee payroll experience at scale.
This position can be based either in Pohořelice (CZ) or Trnava (SK)Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end payroll operations for two countries.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance with local legislation, and timely delivery of all payroll cycles.
- Drive strong payroll governance, quality controls, audits, and documentation standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop payroll teams in both locations; ensure clear roles, resource planning, and continuous capability growth.
- Implement and maintain required payroll standards, policies, and guidelines in alignment with DHL Group
- Partner with HR, Finance, IT, Compliance, and external auditors.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, harmonization, and automation.
- Ensure data integrity across HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, and Finance systems.
- Manage escalations and guarantee a smooth and professional employee payroll experience.
- Prepare payroll KPIs, dashboards, reports, and statutory submissions.

- Strong experience in end to end payroll operations, ideally across multiple countries.
- 5+ years of experience in an international or corporate environment.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams across locations.
- Solid understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
- Experience with HR/payroll systems (SAP, Workday, Oracle, or similar).
- Fluent English and Czech/Slovak.
- High accuracy, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Willingness to travel between Pohorelice (CZE) and Trnava (SK).
