- Participating in lectures or other forms of teaching in Bachelor's degree programme English Language and Literature (introductory and Bc-level courses in linguistic disciplines), and Master's degree programme in English Language and Literature (specialized courses in the applicant's field); ability to teach courses in English Teaching and English Translation programmes is an advantage.
- Supervising and reviewing Bachelor's and Master's theses.
- In exceptional cases, a supervisor or consultant in doctoral degree programmes.
- Participating in the organizational provision of pedagogical activity.
- Participating in publishing activity, especially for educational purposes.
- active participation in domestic and foreign scientific conferences and professional meetings, and the presentation of research results,
- participation in the organizational provision of research activity.
- organising and participating in foreign internships for students and academic staff,
- participation in the promotion of the field.
- Ph.D. - Doctoral Degree Programme in English language, linguistics, or a related field.
- We are looking for a scholar with a strong foundation in English functional linguistics, preferably with experience in discourse analytical, social or cognitive approaches, but other areas of specialization are welcome as well, e.g. phonetics, morphology, language variation, translation etc.
- Publishing record appropriate to career stage, especially articles in recognized peer-reviewed journals (SCOPUS, WoS, or comparable).
- Relevant teaching experience at a university level is an advantage.
- Previous experience with research grants is an advantage.
- Experience in the field of English linguistics of at least 2 years is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the English language at C2 level is a condition.
- Knowledge of Czech in NOT required, but will be considered an advantage.
