Job PurposeAs a Senior Fixed Assets (FA) and Intercompany (IC) Accountant, you will be responsible for completing fixed assets and intercompany accounting transactions and maintaining accurate records for the company. This will include completing fixed assets acquisition and disposal transactions, recording asset capitalisation, revaluing fixed assets and processing intercompany transactions for period end close This is a senior role, so you will have a significant role in implementing internal financial controls within the team. Accurate and timely completion of fixed assets and intercompany activities and maintaining fixed assets and intercompany records for the company
This role will include processing and recording of fixed assets acquisitions, disposals, capitalisation, depreciation, and revaluation
Analyse fixed assets and intercompany accounting records to produce accurate reports
Perform periodic impairment review of intangible assets
Perform periodic reviews of fixed assets and intercompany accounts with the team to ensure compliance with internal controls
Support with queries from regulatory authorities and external auditors
Suggest ways to improve efficiency of systems and processes
As a senior member of the team, you will support overall FA and IC accounting team goals and objectives and assist more junior colleagues with solving complex issues
Skills & Experience
Ideally 3 years experience in R2R fixed assets and intercompany accounting operation
Strong English language skills
Qualified accountant (AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA or global equivalent) or qualified by experience
Advanced MS Excel skills with a proven aptitude to interpret financial data
Strong knowledge of finance business processes, fixed assets accounting and capitalisation policies, intercompany polices and statutory accounting principles to ensure compliant SSC operations
Working knowledge of core finance systems, ERP and related specialty functional systems, frameworks, and functionality
Applied experience in fixed assets management, inventory accounting, intercompany accounting, transfer pricing and reporting
Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with a proactive approach, accustomed to working towards tight deadlines whilst maintaining quality of work
