Job Description:
  • Collaborate with Project manager, Controls/Automation group, and Software group in developing the specification for robust new machines design
  • Lead improvement and sustaining engineering support for existing production lines
  • Propose concept and manage implementation of innovative solutions to develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing and inspection processes and procedures.
  • Support and/or perform equipment, process validations and testing to internal procedures
  • Provide process development engineering support for new product development projects in cooperation with GME (Global Manufacturing Engineering)
  • Provide analysis and initiate equipment modifications to improve productivity and product quality
  • Participate in investigation of quality complains, periodically attend meetings with customrs receiving VOC
  • Manage cooperation with outside vendors to coordinate the development of manufacturing equipment
  • Work closely with maintenance department to improve machine reliability/reduce downtime and define equipment maintenance requirements
  • Assist with procurement
  • Assist with resolving issues with suppliers
  • Lead activity with repairing equipment and tooling
  • Assist with performing process failure mode effects analyses
  • Work with Operations and outside Vendors to create methods/process to improve capacities with production
  • Document Cost Savings
  • Work with management to establish project timeliness, project justification, and budget forecasts
  • Provide the resources for operational departments for materials, equipment and process upgrades
  • Pursue and participate in company LEAN initiatives
  • Responsible for the quality and financial aspects of the company as well as managing the group performance
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field or related discipline from an accredited university
4-6 years experience in process development engineering * Experience in the design and support of equipment and production lines
  • Experienced in the design and development of fixtures, automation workstations, accounting for work and process flow
  • Experience with Solid Works or other CAD modeling software is plus
  • Experience in project management and leadership
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
