In this position, you will be responsible for supplier quality and auditing our suppliers in the field of industrial automation. ABB's Europe Operations Center in Ostrava is part of ABB's Process Automation division, which provides engineering for units across Europe and employs more than 700 people. It also includes a supply chain management center. Participation in the qualification of new suppliers from the technical, process and QMS point of view
Supplier development
Conducting audits (qualification audits, process audits)
Support in improving the quality of suppliers
Definition of annual supplier audit plan + follow-up audits of suppliers/subcontractors
Cooperation with the purchasing department
Dealing with non-conformities and complaints
Evaluation of supplier qualification criteria
Creation of control plans
Supplier Risk Analysis
Implementation of the supplier quality system in a given ABB unit

Your background

You have experience in a similar position, ideally in the project business
You have knowledge of tools such as 8D reports, 5Why, PPAP, FMEA, Poka Yoke, Kaizen
You are able to communicate with suppliers and colleagues in English (min. B2) – you will conduct audits in English
You have experience in conducting supplier audits
Knowledge of ISO 9001
You have previous experience in supplier quality
You don't mind travelling to suppliers + conducting remote audits (remote + physical visits to suppliers = 10% – 30% within Europe)
You have experience with Office 365 tools (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
You are proactive and enjoy interacting with people
You have experience in the field of electrical or mechanical engineering
